It is not easy taking that step out of your comfort zone, nor is it easy taking risks, but you did it anyway and for that, give yourself a pat on the back.

Being an entrepreneur is not an easy task; the late nights, the financial sacrifice, the time limits, and the list goes on. If you are an entrepreneur, it means that you possess a certain something that a lot of persons don't have in that capacity. It means that you establish qualities within yourself and that you have a particular mindset knowing that no matter what, you are going to succeed!

My top quality for being an entrepreneur is...

Self Discipline

Without discipline, I cannot see how you can achieve anything else. This quality is paramount to being successful because it is at the root of the other qualities that will follow. It encompasses everything in which you do and how you do it. It is the quality that is needed to push you on the days you actually do not want to be pushed, it wakes you up early in the morning and it keeps you up late at night. Having discipline means that you have developed habits that will gear you towards success despite the many sacrifices and discomfort.

Self Discipline is the ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses.

The 2nd quality that is needed to be a successful entrepreneur is...

Persistence

Remember that line earlier where it was mentioned that you possess a mindset whereby no matter what, you will succeed!? Well that is where persistence come in. Entrepreneurs are resolved from early on that they will push through despite the rocky roads ahead. Success is built on failures, and persistence keep you stepping on those failures and climbing towards your end goal.

Your persistence is a true measure of your belief in yourself and your ability to succeed. Once you persist, I promise you, you will be successful. Many times we give up way too soon, or even if we think we gave it many tries, then try again, magic happens.

Persistence is the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

Adaptability & Flexibility

As an entrepreneur sometimes, your path may just shake up a bit or need to be adjusted. This would entail things like your products that may need tweaking to better attract your customers. However, in addition to what happens within your business, there are also external factors that may call for these qualities. A very recent example is Covid-19, a lot, if not all, business owners asked themselves, how to adapt to the times of our current situation? How do I make my product or service stand out and still be relevant? How can my business be more marketable now if I cannot reach them in person?

Sometimes we have to go back to the drawing board and assess our business and current economic situations. Therefore, we must be adaptable and flexible with our business management and goals.

Adaptability is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions, while, flexibility means the ability to be easily modified.

The 4th quality needed to be a successful entrepreneur is ...

Integrity

Having integrity aids with building a strong reputation. Remember that you are your brand, you want to be able to uphold and maintain high standards for your business. You would want to be honest, transparent, trustworthy, and admirable. This means that you would provide quality work and services at reasonable prices. It would also mean that you would do what you say you would do, and the same goes for the product that you provide. Never compromise your integrity.

Your success can either flourish or dwindle base on your reputation.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

Our final quality, but yet not the last that you should possess, is being ....

Focus

The ability to be focus allows you to have a clear sense of direction. It eliminates everything that is unnecessary such as distractions, procrastination, disorganization etc.

When you are focused, you think and plan for your future. You take the steps everyday to accomplish what you need to.

Being focus on what you have to do as a business owner implies that you would not quit or give up. Do you know what it feels like to be completely absorbed and look intently at your end goal? You can see it way before you can touch it and focusing on it makes you believe in it more and more. The reality of it never fades, it just gets clearer and nearer. 

Focus means to direct your attention or activity toward a particular point or purpose.

This list consists of five qualities that is needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Once you have started, then keep going... you will prevail!
