Life "Conquering" Habits!

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit."- Aristotle.

We all have a regular routine of what we do and how we do certain things. But when you are thinking about developing habits that will help you to conquer life whether it is mentally, financially etc. it goes beyond just what you eat or what you watch.

How to Conquer Life?

It all starts with your mind, then qualities like discipline, self-control, being focused and so much more will come into action here.

Please note, the ability to conquer your own life starts with you.

When it comes to developing these habits, it all starts and ends with you.

Floriano Martins said, "the deeper I go into myself, the more I realized that I am my own enemy."

We can either choose to do what can build us up or what will bring us down. Sometimes we sabotage our own life without consciously being aware of it.

Avoid procrastination, do it NOW!

Avoid doubts or fear, you CAN do it!

Avoid negative thoughts, speak POSITIVITY into your life!

Always remember, you are not perfect, so yes you may slip up on your journey, but never stay down, GET UP and KEEP GOING!

Life Hack:

To create a new habit, start simple and remain consistent... Do it daily!

1. Develop a Good Morning Routine

Your morning routine sets the tone for the day, it puts you in a better mood, and researchers suggest that, it even increases productivity.

Some ideal morning practices are:

  • Waking Up On Time (say no to the snooze button)
  • Exercising
  • Journalling
  • Having a good breakfast
  • Or whatever it is that makes you feel at ease and ready to continue your day!

2. Prepare & Plan Ahead

In order to reach and accomplish goals, planning must take place.

Planning;

  • reduces stress and anxiety,
  • prepares you for any mishap or downfall that may come your way,
  • serves as a guide or tracker so you can see how far you need to go or what you need to do to reach your desired goal.

Planning can take place daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly.

Choose a day that you can sit and write down everything you would like to accomplish in a particular week. My day is Sunday. What's yours?

That habit will really help you to keep focus on your tasks and your goals. Once you remain focus then you have less time to be distracted or side-tracked.

Our monthly planner can definitely assist in nailing this habit, you can also find this product under Kandid with K collection.

3. Meditate

Meditation can drastically improve your mental health. Incorporate this habit daily by taking time to yourself, somewhere peaceful and relaxing.

We live in such a fast-paced world, where we are drowning in so much information via social media etc. Additionally, we live such busy lives that if we do not take a moment to pause, then we do not realize what we are missing or doing, and we are not thinking about our happiness, our health, our peace, our mind and so forth.

Meditation brings everything into perspective. "... It's not about Buddhism, but about paying attention. That's what all meditation is, no matter what tradition or particular technique is used." - Jon Kabat-Zinn

4. Invest in Self Care

You know that saying when you feel good, you look good. No, we are not referring to make-up here, rather, taking great care of your body.

A good self-care habit:

  • boosts your self esteem
  • helps with maintaining healthy relationships
  • increases your confidence
  • builds positivity

Self care is great for your overall well being. It also means that you establish a clean living space.

5. Read, read, read

How many times I encourage reading? Too many times to count. The reason for this is because when you develop a habit of reading, you gain so much powerful and insightful knowledge that you are able to do better in life.

Reading is like exercise for the brain:

  • It sharpens your memory
  • It broadens your vocabulary
  • It deepens your knowledge
  • It teaches you anything and everything once you're willing to learn

"You can renew your mind and revive your spirit by reading great stories." - Lailah Gifty Akita

There are so many other habits that you can inculcate into your life.

But if you are trying to beat procrastination, avoid a dull day, accomplish goals and just WIN at life. Then these life conquering habits are for you!

Get up every morning and tell yourself, "I can do this!!!"

Remember it all starts with you, if you can control your thoughts, then, you can control your life!
